Vignettes that try to capture the mood in Paris on the evening of Saturday, 14th November 2015, exactly 24 hours after the terrorist attacks. The pictures try to capture humans coming to terms with the inexplicable, each individual in their own way. Some left flowers and lit candles, some huddled in solemn silence while others just walked in an aimless stupor. And others decided to work. While walking through the haunted streets, I came across a restaurant in one of the deserted side streets off Boulevard Fille du Cavelier that was serving its customers. What should have felt normal on a Saturday felt like the exceptional. The only people out in the city that day were the one personally affected by the tragedy. The series tries to capture the vulnerable individuality, the loneliness and the desolation that haunted the humans and their surroundings on that fateful day.
